Dr. James Peterson Dr. James Petersen originally obtained a B.S. in Zoology from the University of Idaho. He went on to Medical School at the University of Oregon. His internship was accomplished while in the army at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. He then completed his residency at the University of Oregon in Portland where he stayed and practiced for 10 years at Providence Hospital. He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists. Dr. Petersen spent several years in Florida and the last 10 years working the winters in Florida and summers in Oregon, Wyoming and Alaska. He joined the South Peninsula Hospital Medical Staff as a part time anesthesiologist in 2002. His family includes his wife Elizabeth and two Springer Spaniels. When not working, Dr. Petersen spends his time piloting, fishing, hunting and beach combing. He also obtained his captain’s licensure and guided for 10 years in Key West Florida. |
