Alaska State Law requires all health care insurers in Alaska that include coverage for pharmacy services to provide coverage for the treatment of diabetes, including medication, equipment and supplies. All health care insurance plans must include coverage for outpatient self-management training or education or medical nutrition therapy, in required a health care provider. Coverage for these services is subject to the plans deductible and co-payment provisions.
