Dr. Bell grew up in Claremont, California, received his Medical Degree from the University of Washington in Seattle and completed his residency at the Oregon Health Sciences University.

Originally he came to Homer in 1976 as a fisherman and a medical student.  Once graduated, he moved back to Homer in 1980 and, with Dr. Eneboe, founded Homer Medical Clinic.

Dr. Bell is certified with the American Board of Family Practice and is a member of the Alaska Medical Society.  He is also the physician sponsor for the EMS system/EMT's in Homer and has provided a vast amount of support, knowledge and training to the volunteer fire department members in our community.

Dr. Bell's family includes his wife MaryLou, who is a Certified Nurse Midwife at Homer Medical Clinic, his son Jake and daughter Lauren.  His hobbies include computers, umpiring and coaching softball and involvement in Kachemak Swim Club.

Born in Seldovia, before Homer got its hospital, Dr. Cotten grew up in Halibut Cove.  After graduation from Homer High School, she attended Humboldt State College, California and Dartmouth Medical School in New Hampshire.  She completed her internship and residency at Hennepin Family Practice Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  Dr. Cotten is certified by the American Board of Family Practice and is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice.

Since completing her training, Dr. Cotten has worked in both the private & public healthcare sectors.  Dr, Cotten has been an active member of the South Peninsula Hospital medical staff since 1996.  She resides in Halibut Cove from which she commutes to South Peninsula Hospital to provide periodic Emergency services throughout the year.

Dr. Cotten has served as President of the American Cancer Society; Medical Director for the Hospice Program Member and Chairperson of the Alaska State Medical Board.  She continues to maintain active staff privileges at Providence Hospital and ANMC.

Dr. Cotten’s family includes her husband and 2 sons as well as her parents and siblings in Halibut Cove and the Homer area.


Dr. Paul Eneboe

Dr. Paul Eneboe attended Medical School at the University of Minnesota and completed his residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.

He moved to Alaska and began his practice in Homer at the Homer Hospital in 1968.  In the early 80's, he and Dr. William Bell together founded the Homer Medical Clinic. 

Dr. Eneboe is South Peninsula Hospital’s Chief of Staff and the Medical Director for our Long Term Care Unit.  He is certified with the American Board of Family Practice.

Having been a long time resident in Homer he is well known, highly respected and has touched the lives of many in our community both young and old.

His hometown is Bozeman, Montana.  His family includes his wife Betty, who has worked throughout the years at Homer Medical Clinic providing care to new mothers and their babies.  Dr. Eneboe and Betty have four children and three grandchildern.  Dr. Eneboe is an avid and area renowned potter and is spending more and more time in the pottery shop.

Dr. Kenneth Hahn

Dr. Hahn began his medical career by obtaining his M.D. from the University of Washington in Seattle.  He then moved to Bangor, Maine where he completed his residency in family practice.

He began his medial practice in Homer in 1996 when he joined Dr. Paul Raymond at  Kachemack Bay Medical Clinic.  Dr. Hahn, Dr. Raymond and Dr. Brady were in the same graduating class at the University of Washington and have joined forces once again to provide for our communities healthcare needs.

Dr. Hahn was born in Barrow and raised in Nome, Alaska.  His family includes his 3 children, Liam, Laura and Logan.  He is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys biking, skiing, boats, birds and gardening.

Dr. Raymond originates from Kasilof, Alaska.  He graduated from the University of Washington School of Medicine in 1984.  He completed a family practice residency at Michigan State in Saginaw Michigan in 1987.  He has practiced in Homer since that time.

He serves as the volunteer director of the Anchor Point EMS.  He enjoys fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and gardening in his off time.

Dr. Lawrence Reynolds

Dr. Reynolds attended medical school at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.  He then returned to his home state of California for his residency at Alameda County Medical Center in Oakland.

Dr. Reynolds lives in Seldovia where he set up his family practice in 1974.  He treats the small village of Seldovia with the care and concern of a small town doctor from days gone by.  He makes house calls, has strange hours and has been know to fly Seldovia residents to Homer for medical care.

His family includes his wife Cheryl, son Shaun and daughter Jennifer.  Dr. Reynolds enjoys flying, mountaineering and skiing.

Dr. Giulia Tortora

Originally from New York State, Dr. Tortora attended Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina where she received her MD.  She specialized in Family Practice during her residency at Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center in Johnson City, New York.

Dr. Tortora is certified with the American Board of Family Practice.  She moved to Homer in 1994 to join the staff at Homer Medical Clinic.

Her family includes Dr. Randy Wiest, son Danny, and their dogs.  Dr. Tortora enjoys music, skiing, biking, hiking and the great Alaskan outdoors.

Dr. Randy Wiest received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and completed his residency at Mercy Medical Center in Denver, Colorado.

He is certified by the American Board of Family Practice and is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. Wiest was a staff member at Bartlett Regional Hospital in Juneau prior to his move to Homer.

Dr. Wiest began practicing at the Homer Medical Clinic in 1998.  His family includes Dr. Guilia Tortora and son Danny.  He enjoys long-distance running, blue-water kayaking, hiking, cross-country skiing, mountain biking and has competed in several marathons including both the Boston and New York Marathons.

Dr. Matthew Wise

Originally from Homer,  Dr. Wise traveled to San Francisco and received his medical degree from the University of California SF.  He then went on to complete his residency at Family Medicine of South West Washington in Vancouver.

Dr. Wise is certified with the American Board of Family Practice.  Having moved back to Homer, Dr. Wise began practicing medicine at Homer Medical Clinic in 1999.  He provides full spectrum family practice including emergency services through South Peninsula Hospital’s emergency department.  He is also involved in the hospital’s sleep medicine program.

His family includes his wife Irene, who is a Nurse Practitioner at Homer Medical Clinic, daughter Sarah and sons Riley and Christopher.
