Certified Nurse Aide Recruitment ProgramSouth Peninsula Hospital encourages and supports more people to enter the challenging and rewarding career as an healthcare professional. To support this effort SPH offers two types of tuition reimbursement opportunities to individuals who enroll in a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) training course, and agree to work as a CNA at our facility. The individual selected for one of these tuition reimbursement programs must:
The two types of tuition reimbursements opportunities are described below.
School-to-Work Program: SPH will provide 100% up-front support (tuition, books and fees) for up to two (2) qualified students per semester. These students must be interviewed, selected and meet all hiring criteria for employment at SPH in advance of starting the CNA course. SPH may provide part-time work opportunities for the CNA student(s) selected for this program depending upon the needs of the student and the needs of the facility.
Eligibility requirements for the School-to-Work Program are:
Tuition Reimbursement Program: SPH will reimburse up to 100% of costs associated with completion of the CNA course (tuition, books and fees) after 1 year of employment. After the initial probationary period of 480 worked hours the new CNA will be reimbursed $350.00 of their eligible expenses. The remainder of the allowable expenses will be reimbursed at the end of one year's employment.
