W2K3323Snoring? Restless legs? Frequent waking? Fatigue? Insomnia? Sleep walking? These are all symptoms of sleep disorders. While many people experience sleep disorders, most don’t realize how it negatively impacts their health and quality of life.

Sleep disorders cause – and worsen – many health problems. For example:

  • Insomnia increases the risk of depression, infection and anxiety.
  • Obstructive sleep apnea can cause strokes, heart attacks, high blood pressure and diabetes.
  • Excessive sleepiness and fatigue affect interpersonal relationships, work safety, and job and school performance.

Fortunately, sleep disorders are treatable – and you can find help right here at South Peninsula Hospital’s Sleep Center. Here, you can learn about sleep disorders and have a sleep study conducted to find solutions to help you get a good night’s rest, improve your health, and enjoy a better quality of life. The study is conducted in a private, midtown location by a registered Respiratory Therapist, and the results are read by a Board Certified Sleep Disorders Physician. A physician’s referral is required.
