Kenai Peninsula Borough Mayor David Carey is hosting a special event to honor the “Healthcare Heroes” of the Southern Kenai Peninsula communities. All members of the public are welcome to attend, to participate in honoring all of the healthcare heroes in the Homer and surrounding communities. The South Peninsula Hospital Board of Directors appointed Matt Hambrick as a new board member at their meeting in January, 2010. Hambrick is a local contractor and was appointed to a three year term.
In other board action, Kelly Cooper was newly elected Board President and Julie Woodworth was newly elected Vice President. Re-elected officers were Walt Partridge as Treasurer and Bernadette Wilson as Secretary. Monthly Board meetings are held every fourth Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm in the hospital's conference room. The public is welcome. |
